With immeasurable style and culture, Melbourne is fast establishing itself as the coolest city in Australia, a creative hub where design inspiration runs wild. It is rated one of the world’s friendliest places to live, attracts more Australian visitors than any other city in the country and an increasing number of overseas tourists, including Brits.

They come for fashion, food and drink, world-class sporting events, the quirky boutiques and cafés of the laneways, the sophisticated uptown department stores and rooftop restaurants — and to explore all Victoria.

It might be Australia’s smallest mainland state but it can claim to be the most fascinating and diverse, with delightful coasts, mountains and wineries an hour’s drive from the city and more remote and remarkable sites a mere
