You’ve heard of Amy Chua, the “Tiger Mother”, and the fearsome techniques she used to get her children up to speed on piano. Now classical music’s own Tiger Boy, the superstar Chinese pianist Lang Lang, is having his say on the great parental debate.

On May 22 Lang Lang will be playing alongside some 100 handpicked young pianists, the highlight of a four-date residency, Lang Lang Inspires, part of Southbank Centre’s Festival of Britain.
