Lord Sugar, Sir Richard Branson and Barclays Bank have joined Sainsbury’s, a Dragon’s Den dragon and the CBI to put pressure on the Prime Minister to reap the economic benefits of cycling.

Key figures from the business world have added their voices to more than 30,000 backers of the parliamentary Get Britain Cycling report, which calls on the Government to transform Britain’s congested streets.

Though the Prime Minister this week endorsed the report, he stopped short of committing himself to forcing through change.
