Labour’s equalities spokeswoman was forced to resign yesterday after saying that “Britain has a problem with British-Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls”.

Sarah Champion, MP for Rotherham and shadow equalities minister, was asked to step down by Jeremy Corbyn. She had written a newspaper column drawing attention to inadequate support for victims of child grooming.
