Widow of Paris gunman: Isis inspired him to murder

The fugitive widow of a gunman who attacked a kosher supermarket in Paris after the Charlie Hebdo massacre has described how “his eyes shone” as he watched Islamic State (Isis) videos urging foreign Muslims to wage jihad.

The comments from Hayat Boumeddiene come in an interview in a French-language magazine published by Isis and would appear to be the first confirmation that the Frenchwoman is living in territory controlled by the terror group.

Boumeddiene, 26, fled France a week before the attacks and is thought to have crossed from Turkey into Syria on January 8, the day that her husband, Amedy Coulibaly, shot dead a policewoman in the Paris suburbs.
