Voters in constituencies with fewer migrants are the most likely to think immigration is culturally bad for the country, a seat-by-seat study of Britain by leading academics reveals today.

Clacton, the constituency won ten days ago by Ukip’s first elected MP, Douglas Carswell, is the most eurosceptic in the country, the study found: an estimated 75 per cent of constituents would vote to leave the EU.

Meanwhile, more than half the constituents of seven cabinet members — David Cameron, Michael Fallon, William Hague, Liz Truss, Patrick McLoughlin, Iain Duncan Smith and Sajid Javid — want to leave the EU.
