No charges will be brought against an Arizona gun range where a nine-year-old girl accidentally killed an instructor with an Uzi machine gun, authorities have said.

Sheriff Jim McCabe, of Mohave County in the northwest corner of the state, has said the gun range broke no laws by placing a machine gun in the hands of a such a young child.

Video footage of the incident showed the instructor, Charles Vacca, 39, hovering at the girl’s side as she fired at a target.

“All right!” Mr Vacca can be heard saying. He can then be seen adjusting the weapon, apparently switching out of the single shot setting, before placing a hand on the girl’s back to steady her against the recoil. The gun appears to
