A South Korean scientist is offering Britons the chance to have their dog cloned free, as part of the UK Dog Cloning Competition.

Sooam Biotech has already cloned 400 dogs, but the company, whose chief technical officer, Woo Suk Hwang, was shown in 2006 to have fabricated research, is waiving the £63,000 fee for one lucky British dog-owner.

The result of the procedure will be a puppy that is genetically identical to the dog it was cloned from.
