Motorists face being limited to less than a glass of wine or pint of beer before they get behind the wheel under plans to bring England and Wales in line with Scottish reforms.
Ministers are holding talks over cutting the drink-driving limit for the first time in almost 50 years, it emerged yesterday. They will meet their counterparts north of the border to hear of “the experience of the lower limit” before considering possible changes in the rest of Britain.
