Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of News Corporation, which owns The Times, has announced his engagement to Jerry Hall, the actress and former supermodel, on the Births, Marriages and Deaths page of the newspaper.
News of the impending nuptials comes after a four-month romance. Mr Murdoch and Miss Hall have been dating since late summer after being introduced by one of Mr Murdoch’s sisters and his niece, Penny Fowler, in Australia. They made their relationship public in October by appearing together at the rugby World Cup final and got engaged over the weekend in Los Angeles, where they attended the 73rd Golden Globes awards gala.
