The rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent, who released a book of advice on how to operate in the twenty-first century, today claimed that he doesn’t have a dime to his name.

Just days after being ordered to pay $5 million in damages to a woman for circulating a sex tape she claimed he had acquired without her permission, the artist has filed for bankruptcy.

Court documents show that Curtis James Jackson III, the 40-year-old musician and actor’s real name, has assets in the range of $10 million to $50 million and debts within the same range.

Less than two months ago, in May, Forbes estimated 50 Cent’s net worth at $155 million, giving him the No. 4 spot in its list of wealthy hip-hop artists.
