Labour admit: we would do a deal with SNP for No 10

Labour has confirmed of the first time it would speak to the SNP after the election to try and get Ed Miliband into Downing Street.

Angela Eagle, the shadow leader of the Commons said that if Labour is the largest party after May 7, it would speak to any other party represented in the Commons to “try and build a majority” for its Queen’s Speech.

Mr Miliband has previously ruled out a coalition with the SNP but sidestepped questions about other forms of deal which would see SNP MPs voting down a Tory minority administration and installing him in Number 10.
