Apple is to release an iPad that has a bigger screen than some of its laptop computers, it was reported yesterday.
The new iPad, which will have a 12.9in screen, is expected to go on sale in the first three months of next year, according to Bloomberg.
The screens on Apple’s latest line of Macbook Air laptops are 11in and 13in. On its more powerful MacBook Pro laptops they are 13in and 15in.
The screen on the new, larger iPad would be significantly bigger than the existing iPad, which measures 9.7in, and the iPad Mini, which is 7.9in.
