Computer analysis proves Shakespeare’s hand in other plays

The Royal Shakespeare Company has given its seal of approval to ten plays absent from William Shakespeare’s First Folio in which it claims he had a hand.

The company believes that computer analysis of the works has shown that Shakespeare was responsible for at least some scenes in plays that have been the subject of argument over the past century.

Next week, the RSC will publish William Shakespeare & Others: Collaborative Plays, written by two Shakespeare scholars. The book will include Arden of Faversham, which the company intends to perform next year, and Edward III, which features a “superb seduction scene” attributed to the playwright.
